Getting started
Connect Amazon & sync
Link your Amazon Ads account, pick marketplaces, and optionally link a second account.
After signing in, a short onboarding connects your advertising data in three steps:
- Sign in with Amazon. A standard Amazon OAuth flow links your Amazon Ads access to MerchDash. Your tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Approve account access. MerchDash links the advertiser accounts you own through its Manager Account — no manual steps in the Amazon console.
- Select marketplaces & sync. Pick which marketplaces (advertiser profiles) MerchDash should keep synced. Each one is synced separately.
Marketplaces are separate accounts
Each marketplace (US, UK, DE, FR, IT, …) is its own advertiser profile at Amazon with its own campaigns, currency, and reports. The marketplace switcher in the top bar changes which one you are looking at; automation rules are configured per marketplace too.
First sync and what gets pulled
Once a marketplace is selected, MerchDash pulls your campaigns, ad groups, keywords, targets, search terms, and daily performance reports. Amazon’s reporting API generally reaches back 60–95 days; MerchDash keeps synced metrics inside your plan’s archive window: 180 days on Starter, 2 years on Growth, or lifetime on Scale. The mechanics (backfill, refresh cadence, restated days) are covered in How data sync works, and retention details are on Plans & billing.
Linked accounts
If you run more than one Amazon Ads account (for example a second Merch account), you can link accounts in Settings. Linked accounts appear as one merged view: tables and charts combine both, and automation rules evaluate across both. When a rule changes something, MerchDash routes each write to the Amazon account that actually owns the campaign — you never have to think about which account an entity belongs to.
